Mrs. Vafiadis graduated from Ridley High School in 2006. She marched baritone sax in the RRMB for three years, and was a drum major during her junior and senior years under the direction of Chris Adam. While drum major in 2005, Mrs. Vafiadis led the RRMB in becoming State Champions with their program "Carmen Rosa".


While at Ridley, Mrs. V also played in the concert band, jazz band, pit band, and sang in the chorus, select choir, and vocal jazz ensemble. She also participated in PMEA District 12, Region 6, and All-State instrumental and choral festivals throughout high school, playing principal clarinet with the All-State Orchestra her senior year.

After Ridley, Mrs. V attended Temple University with a major in Music Education, clarinet concentration. After one year of marching clarinet, she served as drum major with the TU Diamond Marching Band for her sophomore, junior, and senior years under the direction of Dr. Matthew Brunner. She also played in the TU Basketball Band, Wind Ensemble, Wind Symphony, and Symphony Orchestra.


Mrs. Vafiadis is currently working on a Master's degree in Wind Conducting with Dr. Andrew Yozviak at West Chester University.

Michael began his band career as a member of the marching band and winter percussion programs at Upper Darby High School in Drexel Hill, PA from 2005 to 2009. He has also performed as a snare drummer with The Jersey Surf Drum & Bugle Corps (2008), United Percussion (2010), and The Reading Buccaneers Drum & Bugle Corps (2012). 

Through his experiences within the marching arts activity, Michael has been fortunate enough to study under the likes of Darick Kelly, Bob Cizmarik, Jason Majerczak, Johnny Trujillo, Rich Hammond, and Frank McGuigan, amongst others.

Michael holds a Bachelor's degree in Advertising and Public Relations from The Pennsylvania State University, where he was a member of The Pennsylvania State University Marching Blue Band Drumline for three years.

Michael has been with Ridley since the summer of 2013; he currently serves as the battery arranger and snare technician. In the past, he has helped out at Upper Darby High School (PA), Timber Creek High School (NJ), and Coatesville High School (PA). In his spare time, Michael writes short biographies about himself in the third person.

mber in the marching arts, Eric Eisenman has been working in the marching percussion field for more than 20 competitive seasons since 1994.  He has taken on roles such as arranger, designer, instructor, and/or consultant, with Keystone High School , Clarion High School, Redbank Valley High School, Brookville High School, Plymouth Whitemarsh High School, Springfield High School, Clarion University, and The University of Wisconsin at Lacrosse, to name a few.  Eric has taught and written at Ridley since 2003, and, along with Jonathan Vafiadis and Mike Ducassoux, started the very successful Ridley Indoor Percussion program in 2009.  After the 2012 indoor season, Eric resigned from his full-time commitment to Ridley High School to focus on the music writing and recording company he co-founded with Mike Ducassoux, Red Room Productions.

After attending Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Eric attended the Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences in Tempe, Arizona. Instructors during Eric’s time at the Conservatory consisted of working professionals in the recording industry including Kevin Becka and Ghery Fimbres, among several others.  Eric has been employed as an A1 at a large-scale corporate audio-visual company for the last 8 years, engineering hundreds of live events for Fortune 500 companies.

Eric also has an extensive performance background. When he was younger, he was a member of the PMEA All-State Band for three consecutive years. Drumset experience includes performing with a festival big band Jazz Transitions, along with many years as a rock drumset player in regional touring acts. 

Eric is a member of the Audio Engineers Society, as well as the Percussive Arts Society.
